life outside the viewfinder

Catching up with Yoko and Kaori at the end of July, they introduced me Atariya in Swiss Cottage where we enjoyed some of the best Japanese food outside of Japan without breaking the bank in the process.

On Day 3 of my trip I got to meet two of my Tokyo office colleagues for the first time, wandered around the alleyways of Kagurazaka, and had a fantastic ryokan-style dinner with Mayumi and Kunihiro from my RTW trip.

With Julian back in London from his latest tour of duty on his BP tanker, Yoko and him were kind enough to invite myself and Kaori, a new friend from Japan, over for Sunday breakfast at theirs.

With Lynn back from her hedonistic three weeks in Spain just enthralled by the food and the people and the architecture, I hosted her again for her final week in London where she got to meet Julian and Yoko and enjoy decent Mexican food at Wahaca as well as doing some home baking.

After recovering from the C&P Amsterdam shoot, I processed through my 1200+ images on Friday night and sent through the 30 selects to the client.
