After spending a fantastic time on the Ganges, here’s the photo set on Varanasi – considered to be the holiest place by Hindus – and one which was fascinating to explore both by river and within its back lanes.

After arriving in Allahabad after my first night on a sleeper train, here’s the photo set covering the two days that we spent sailing on the Ganges toward Varanasi which included an overnight camp on the banks.
