Egg Harbor Cafe

Ending the last day of my business trip by starting with a proper American breakfast in downtown Naperville.

Unimpressed by the breakfast offerings at the Hyatt, one on my colleagues suggested  stopping at a proper American diner on the way to the client site which was a fabulous idea.

So early on a Friday morning we found ourselves in the rather homely Egg Harbor Cafe with enough food for twice our number! One of my colleagues had the roasted Fuji apple cinnamon pancakes drizzled with caramel sauce. As for myself, I opted for the crispy bacon waffle combo which came  with sausage patties and poached eggs. And with eyes bigger than my stomach I somehow agreed to share a side of corned beef hash with another colleague too!

We all enjoyed the food, even though there was far too much for us, and the friendly service and left properly fuelled to finish off the final day of meetings before catching the redeye flight back home. Can’t wait to come back on my next trip over!

Amazing to see the huge amount of snow burying the car in the hotel car park.
