Continuing on with the food theme as I work through my photo backlog, next up is little Korean place in Soho that recently opened.
One of the aspects that I love about Soho is the vast range of cuisines on offer. So it wasn’t that surprising to hear about a restaurant opening up to specialise not in BBQ cuisine but in bibimbap dishes. So one Friday evening, I headed there with Leanne to see how good it was.
We shared a seafood pajeon which was good and she went for the spicy pork option whilst I went for my favourite style – yukwhe (raw fillet beef). Alas, having been spoiled by trying the original in Jeonju, it didn’t hit that mark and was slightly on the salty side. However, on the positive side it’s a lot easier to get to, very filling, and also very reasonably priced too. So I’ll probably be back in winter (bit too hot to eat a massive rice dish in summer!) to get stuffed.
Leanne and I finished off the evening by taking her to try out the always amazing Scoop gelato which was perfect sitting outside on a warm summer evening. And best of all, they’ve now opened up a Soho branch on Brewer Street so it’s even easier to get to!
