After all the ice-climbing earlier in the day, what could be better but to head over to Kay and Andrew’s new apartment for a home-cooked meal.
Arriving, Kay was in the midst of stir-frying the beef in the wok before cooking the noodles and mixing both together to make the final dish with its spicy aroma. And whilst that was being done her first attempt at yakitori, with a ton of sauce, was grilling nicely below. All of which made for a fab meal for the five of us.

And the cooking and food also made for a good test of the Canon 5D Mark II camera I had hired for the weekend to help me decide if I wanted to buy one for myself. One of the oft-lauded features of that DSLR is the video mode so I had fun with trying to use that though I definitely need a proper rig to make full use of it.

Whilst waiting for dessert to slow cook, Andrew and Kay showed us Guitar Hero on the Wii and we all had a lot of fun playing it – especially Jayna who kinda “killed” the game on her first try! We finished the evening with the Raving Rabbids which pretty much left all of us catatonic with laughter with the random mini-games we tried.
@Kay: Thanks for hosting such a fun evening and cooking a delicious dinner!
