After years of wanting to celebrate New Year’s Eve outside the UK, I finally organised a trip with See Yun and Wendy to do that over five days in snowy Krakow where had a lot of fun hanging out and eating tons!
Arriving as dusk fell, we had time to explore a little of the Old Town seeing the impressive St. Mary’s Basilica and Rynek Glowny (Market Square) where we would be counting down to midnight the next day. The girls even managed to get started shopping on Florianska!
Then for our first dinner, and after completely mis-reading the map!, we found the renowned Wesele restaurant where we had some great Polish food and I completely overdosed on theĀ pork knuckle they brought me. It was exactly what I needed to stay warm on the way back to our hotel.
Coming up next … New Year’s Eve exploring Krakow and before counting in 2010 with a lot of Polish people not understanding any of the language! :)
