Arriving back from Tokyo today feeling both tired from the flight yet also re-energised from all the time spent travelling too.Had a really good and thought-provoking time during my ten day visit to Japan and just some of the many highlights were:
- Being invited to for a home-cooked lunch at at Japanese couple’s house whom we met only the day before over sushi at Tsukiji Market
- Meeting up Koda-san and Yuko from work for the first time as well as catching up with Mayumi and Kunihiro from our Cook Island days
- Going snow-shoeing for the first time in Minakami
- Being taken on a surprise side trip to Hokkaido by Raina for my birthday
- Indulging in so much amazing local cuisine throughout the entire trip
But best of all, was spending time with Raina who was largely responsible for making most of this trip happen. Thanks babe!!! *hug*
