It’s funny how life is with Siok Hua coming to London merely 3 months after my visit to her in Singapore – and that was after a three year gap since my last visit in 2006.
This time it was her that was doing the multi-country tour hitting Norway, Belgium, and Germany after London. I was working throughout so I showed her some of my favourite places to eat during her stay.
The food tour culminated with us going to Terminal 5 together, as I was flying to Seattle for work a few hours before her flight to Norway, and trying out Gordon Ramsey’s Plane Food restaurant. Loved the retro feel to the place being like a jazzed up contemporary version of The Jetsons cartoon. As for the menu, whilst it sounded delicious, it was also quite dairy-heavy so I was limited to the steak whilst Siok Hua went for the hake. Both dishes were good though next time I’ll just go there to relax over a coffee and dessert rather for a main meal.
Then, Siok Hua was bidding me farewell as I left for my flight first … again. That’s the fourth time that she’s done that now so maybe next time I’ll be the one to see her off for once! :P Seriously though, it was so much fun hanging out with her and, as I had this persistent cough, she also took good care of me too. Thanks hun! *hug*
