After my brief stopover in Singapore on my RTW trip, I was back in Hong Kong on Day 19 and 20 after an absence of two years to catch up with a few friends there.
Started with Alice, who had gone over to start up her Mischmasch venture, and after all our chats on IM it was so much better catching up personally over dinner. When people say that starting a new company is hard work – it’s a definite understatement and it’s great to see how far she’s got so far.
The next day as I wanted to do something different in HK, Carmen took me out of the hustle and bustle of Central to the relative tranquillity of Discovery Bay where we had this sumptuous seafood lunch by the water.
Afterwards, I met up with my “big sis”, Seline, for dinner with her friends. But before we ate, again so that I could do something different they took me to the Jockey Club Creative Art Centre – an old housing block converted for use by independent artists and studios. So much fun to explore and getting to see a different side of photography through Alfred and Kaka.
With so much running around we all enjoyed a well-deserved meal afterwards with deliciously tasty pork belly before finishing in the small hours being quite silly in this dessert place.
