With Jamie’s Italian recently opened in Canary Wharf, it was the perfect brunch venue for an overdue catch up with Bela and Andy.
Having tried out Fifteen earlier this year for breakfast I was curious to see what this new brand from Jamie Oliver was going to be like. The restaurant was smaller than I thought and had this charming rustic vibe going on. Even though we were relatively early, it wasn’t long before the place was full and customers were already queueing up.
The seasonal cured meat plank that Andy and I had for starters was particularly moreish and I really enjoyed how they did the soft shell crab I had for my main course. Though the special of monkfish and seafood stew that Andy opted for was, I think, the best main of the three of us All finished off with this very rich chocolate brownie for dessert which left me completely stuffed.
And Bela, being as generous as she is, refused to let either Andy or myself pay for the meal which was so sweet of her. Thanks babe and a great touch to end the brunch on. *hug*
