Yvonne’s Last Day in London

Image above: After a fab dim sum lunch, a coffee together at Fernandez & Wells with Yvonne doing the photographer duties. (L-R) Myself, Shizuka, Kaori, Oliver, and Anthony. [Saturday 22 August]

With Yvonne having submitted her Masters thesis it was time for her to leave London to head home and a perfect opportunity for us to have a catch up over dim sum at Joy King Lau.

And to mark her last night, because she likes wandering through cities, we went for a night walk from Soho to Surrey Quays which took us over 3.5 hours. Something that I’ve not done for a long time and it was a lot of fun chatting away about every subject under the moon as we meandered our way across London.

By the time I dropped her off at her place I had just enough energy to collapse on a 199 bus back to my place (really couldn’t face walking another 1.5 hours more!) and crawl into bed for a really good night’s sleep.

A different friend has been advocating a more laissez-faire approach to my photography so I took my LX3 camera along and shot random photos along the way. So you can see some of points of interests from our walk in this photo set.
