Whitstable Oyster Festival

Last Sunday Andy and I headed over for a day trip out of London to devour oysters on the last day of the Whitstable Oyster Festival.

After a pretty stressful week from being assigned more projects at work and having my usual routine usurped from starting my intensive Korean class it was brilliant timing that Andy and I had arranged to go to Whitstable to enjoy the fresh oysters there.

I do love being on the coast and it was exactly what I needed that day. Thankfully it was a sunny day too so even caught a bit of a tan lying on the beach watching the clouds float by as Andy and I whiled away the afternoon just chatting away.

And the oysters were pretty good too. Andy and I couldn’t figure out what the festival was about as it just seemed the same as usual but that didn’t seem to matter. We ended up eating eight each from three stalls, as well as fried whitebait, and  a South African sausage burger thrown in for good measure too!

All in all, a really good day and my thanks to Andy for doing all the driving there and back.
