On my second day in Daejon, here’s the photo set of the day trip that we did to Tong Yeong to take a boat around the islands.
Some of the highlights were:
- Spending the whole day being able to chat to Yeji once again about every topic under the sun … literally!
- Just enjoying being back on the sea again and taking in the ethereal view even though the sun was at its zenith
- Finally finding some really bad Korean food at this motorway service station – stay away from clingfilm-wrapped hot dogs!
- Eating some awesome duck wrapped in ssangjam and pernilla leaf for dinner
- Meeting Yeji’s Dad for the first time and enjoying just walking with Yeji and him around Daejon to nowhere in particular
- Watching “Before Sunrise” for the first time with Yeji into the night and thoroughly enjoying the story and the questions it raised.
Coming up next … the final photo set of my Korea trip heading back to Seoul on my last day before flying back to London.
