Korea – Jeonju

Leaving Busan behind, here’s the next photo set with Yeji as we head to Daejon where her parents live and to do a mini-day trip to Jeonju with her rather cute and playful Mum who I totally adored.

Some of the highlights were:

  • Having the 2.5 hour mugunghwa train ride from Seoul to Daejon just go by in a flash as Yeji and I just chatted away constantly throughout the journey
  • Seeing Yeji really enjoy the chocolate truffle from UK chocolatier Paul Young whose confectionary is simply divine
  • Laughing so much as Yeji’s Mum bridged the language barrier by showing me Hanok children’s games which I failed miserably at but yet had so much fun
  • Devouring a yukwhe (raw beef and egg) bibimbap for dinner which was gratifyingly good
  • Being completely taken aback by the balloons that Yeji’s Mum had done (calling me “Ssamy”) welcoming me to their home – such great hospitality

Coming up next … a long day trip to Tong Yeong with Yeji and her Mum.
