Waking up in Busan to a fabulous breakfast made my Jung-Su’s Mum, here’s the fourth photo set covering my day trip to the historic area of Gyeongju with Jung-Su followed by watching a local baseball game with his English study class.
Some of the highlights were:
- Having a banquet prepared for me by Jung-Su’s mum for breakfast. Far more than I could really eat that early but it was good and really heart-warming sharing a meal with Jung-Su and his parents
- Exploring the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Bulguksa and being surprised to see all those rock stacks not only on the floor but on the roof and on the branches of the tress too!
- Getting caught up with the electric atmosphere whilst watching Lotte Giants (the home team) take on LG Twins and loving how the girls screamed for their favourite baseball player as well as this local supporter who was totally into the game and making everyone laugh with his commentary
- Enjoying meeting Jung-Su’s English study group over dinner and making new friends which is always brilliant
Coming up next … exploring the cliffs of Taejongdae, wandering through Jalgachi Fish Market, and having a royal court cuisine with Jung-Su’s parents for my last night in Busan.
