Brian in London

Been a little quiet on the posting the last few days as I’ve been hosting my friend, Brian, who was stopping over from LA for a few days before continuing his travels to Greece and Denmark.

So one evening I introduced him to Bela, Chi, and Andrew as Bela wanted to acquaint us with one of her fav places: Grand Bazaar, near Selfridges, for some Middle Eastern cuisine. It was a great recommendation (thanks B!) and we all ate heartily with Brian doing a grand job photographing the restaurant and food role instead of me. Quite nice to take a break actually! ^^

The next and final evening in London had a bit of a “very small world” theme going on courtesy of Brian’s friend, Kim, flying in that day as both of them would be going to Greece together. First off, Kim was staying with her boyfriend’s sister, Deidre, who, of all the places she could be living in London, turned out to be renting one of the penthouse suites in my very building! And not only that, during the course of dinner together I discovered that Deidre’s husband, Ian, actually works in the same company as Bela does.

Wow … just how randomly connected is that!
