After recovering from the C&P Amsterdam shoot, I processed through my 1200+ images on Friday night and sent through the 30 selects to the client. My thanks to Julian for introducing me to the anthemic music of Hybrid Soundsystem – just what I needed to power through post-production.

And continued thanks to Julian and Yoko for their hospitality in inviting me over their place the next morning for a proper Irish breakfast. Julian sourced the sausages, bacon, eggs, and black pudding from the local Irish butchers and made a fab meal with proper place settings. What better way to start Saturday off in London. :)
After a relaxing start, it was back to work and game on to cover the Cut & Paste London event at the Coronet in Elephant & Castle that evening. With the experience of Amsterdam under my belt, this wasn’t as stressful though I was still running around like a maniac all night making sure that I was on top of everything!

Lying in bed on Sunday, aching from all the running around (which is now my new form of exercise), Alice saved me from just going straight into processing the photos by inviting me out for dim sum. So we tried out a new place, the Lotus Floating Restaurant, in Crossharbour. Kind of a weird location but it’s convienent, the food was alright, andit was better value for money than Royal China – £12 versus the £18 per person.
And the icing on the cake was being able to try some of Alice’s home made coconut macaroons which were delicious. Actually there were so tasty that I wolfed them down and then remembered I should’ve take a photo. Oh well, will just have to delicately inquire about getting a fresh batch from her. ^_^

Suitably recharged with food and a pleasant walk and conversation with Alice, it was back to processing last night’s event. Though that was pleasantly disrupted by Sylvia and Nestor who were in Greenwich. So escaped outside to join them for a refreshing walk in Greenwich Park and along the Thames. It’s paradoxical how I live five minutes to both places and choose to live in Greenwich because of these features but hardly ever go. *shakes head*
Just finishing off the extended sets for both the Amsterdam and London events now that I’ve sent off the highlights to the clients so will post when they are ready.
