It’s been a busy couple of days since my last post covering the C&P Barcelona event last weekend which turned out to be awesome. Just sorted through the 20GB or so of images that I took and published the overall highlights and the extended sets online.
It was the best event that I’ve experienced by far with a fantastic presenter, entertaining contestants, and an enthusiastic audience too. So with the event buzzing there were quite a few great moments to capture such as one contestant literally being carried through the crown onto the stage for his entrance, to another contestant who was so full of energy that he picked up his stool and waved it in the air!
Another moment came whilst I was talking to the Motion contestants during a lull in the show when a rather tipsy local randomly came up and flirted with me whilst asking me if I was Japanese, and being not, where I was from. Only for her then to point out her boyfriend sitting a few metres behind and if I could photograph the two of them! I have no idea what she was thinking … she probably didn’t either … but the Motion guys and I share a good laugh over it and another good memory to take away from the event!

After finishing covering the event at 01:00, I went off to join up with Sayuri who happened to be visiting Barcelona the same weekend.
Caught up her with her friends at weirdly named Obama British Africa pub and it was kinda funny that we were both in Spain but in a British-esque pub eating sandwiches / burgers rather than tapas! In any case, it was a good way to unwind post-event and we were there chatting away until 02:30 until it was finally time to catch a few hours sleep before our respective flights back.
