With Tomoko turning 23, Chitose and Jung-Su organised a wonderful surprise birthday for her which shocked her so much that she temporarily forgot how to speak English and went back to Japanese! [Saturday 18 October]
Last Saturday Jung-Su invited me along to celebrate Tomoko’s surprise birthday party which was a lot of fun. First surprise party that I’ve been to for awhile – usually it’s the dinner / drinks / party sort – so it was priceless to see the look on her face.
Shot a few images on my LX3 and had a bit of fun processing through them. They just feel different to the images my Canon 1D produces so getting used to that. And, for the first time, shot some 720p HD video which, for a five minute clip, ate up almost 1GB of memory. Might need to get that second TB drive now!
So after spending an hour or two of learning how to use iMovie ’08 here’s the edited video (81MB) and I apologise in advance for the amateur quality of it. Got quite a bit to learn so I’m not quite Steven Spielberg yet. :D
A great evening meeting new friends, enjoying the home-cooked food, and had them all finishing at 06:00 the next morning!
